If the main goal of marketing and advertising is to increase audience and consumer demand, then the duty of distribution, programming, and licensing of content is to monetize it.

Currently, there is no way for media and entertainment companies to quantify their unmonetized demand. Many companies use social chatter as a leading indicator of audience and consumer demand. Unfortunately, since the number of tweets, likes, and views often have little correlation with actual audience intent; it is hard to base revenue impacting strategic decisions on this data alone.

TruStats has created the first real-time Unmonetized Demand Index. We quantify unmonetized demand of digital media content by media category, content owner, title, audience segment, and location.
